I have always been interested in creating video loops. The feeling of being locked in a ‘perfect’ moment in time really appeals to me. The repetition appeals to me. Similar to my work with sound, I find there is something reassuring and serene about a locked visual loop. It’s meditative and a simple momentary escape from reality. The loop doesn’t have to be perfect, in fact the viewer should know that they are inhabiting a looped moment in time.
